Title IX/SMART

Sexual Misconduct & Assault Response Team (SMART)

Quincy College strives to be a community free of sexual misconduct, by promoting the essential values of respect and responsibility, providing education, and working with students, faculty, and staff to create a community that is safe and supportive for all.

Overview

Quincy College is committed to providing a productive learning environment in which students can pursue their educational goals. Sexual harassment undermines this commitment and affects the ability of students to focus on their educational achievement. Quincy College students are prohibited from engaging in sexual harassment. No one shall be retaliated against for participating in the College’s complaint resolution procedure in good faith as a complainant, a witness, an investigator, or in any other capacity. Quincy College upholds official policies in regard to acts of sexual harassment as set forth in Title IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972, the Violence Against Women Act and its Reauthorization, the Campus SaVE Act, the Clery Act, and other related laws. Quincy College does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the education program or activity that it operates.  This requirement not to discriminate in the education program or activity extends to admission and employment.
