Free HiSET/GED High School Equivalency Preparation Program
On-Campus non-credit HiSET prep program
Quincy College can help you on your journey to earning your high school equivalency credential by passing the HiSET ® exam. Through a grant from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Adult Community Learning Center, Quincy College offers two levels of HiSET Preparation courses at no charge, including books.
Graduates of the HiSET program can further their education through college courses. Quincy College’s HiSET curriculum prepares students to pass English Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Math, and Science tests.
Quincy Campus
HiSET classes at the Quincy campus are open enrollment and will run during day hours for a total of 12 hours per week. If a class doesn’t have space, students will be put on the waitlist and receive information when a space is available.
To apply, students must take a placement test.
- Fill out the application
- Check your email to retrieve your Student ID number
- Email Michael Hernon, [email protected] to schedule an appointment
- HiSET placement tests are given on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at the Quincy Campus
- Location: Quincy campus, 3rd floor, Room 315
- Please have your Student ID number with you. See Michael Hernon upon arrival
After you take the Placement Test you will receive an email indicating your score and level for your class.
