Iheduru-Anderson to receive Excellence in Nursing Education Award

Kechinyere Iheduru-Anderson, professor of nursing at Quincy College, has been selected to receive the American Nurses Association Massachusetts Excellence in Nursing Education Award

QUINCY – Kechinyere Iheduru-Anderson, professor of nursing at Quincy College, has been selected to be honored at this year’s American Nurses Association Massachusetts Celebration of Nursing Awards Dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at the Westin Waltham Hotel in Waltham.

Iheduru-Anderson will receive the American Nurses Association Massachusetts Excellence in Nursing Education Award. Winners of this award are characterized by adopting innovative approaches to teaching based on the needs of the student, according to the association. She was nominated for the award by the Nursing Faculty of Quincy College.

After immigrating from Nigeria in 1997, Iheduru-Anderson received a Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing from Curry College and both a Masters of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate of Science in Nursing from Regis College.
Iheduru-Anderson teaches on both the Quincy and Plymouth campuses of Quincy College.
