APPLICATIONS with Business SIMLAB
START ANY MONDAY
Continuous Rolling Admissions
WHO
SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE
Employees
with management potential but who need
cross-training in MS Office as well as a better
understanding of how a business operates.
Those who
have been laid-off, expect to be laid-off or just
want a better shot at getting those jobs currently
out of reach.
English as a second language students will
have an opportunity to gain insights and a better
understanding of the American business environment .
. . from the inside out.
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
-
Professionally-designed to provide students with
a learning continuum built around a more
detailed understanding of computers, operating
systems and Microsoft Office's five modules
[Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint],
the Masters Certificate in MS Office and
Computer Applications with Business SIMLAB
embraces the novice as well as the more
experienced user but with an additional emphasis
on the professional, practical, real-world
business environment.
-
Join any Monday during any
semester and meet three evenings a week [M, W &
Th] for three hours per night in any 6-week
session. We'll provide the standard
classroom and instructor training, a web-based,
self-paced, computer-training program that can
be practiced at home anytime and SIMLAB, a
simulated corporate environment within the
classroom where students are interviewed, hired
and assigned to various corporate positions in
marketing, finance, human resources and customer
service, responsible for generating reports,
agendas, memos, sales meetings, spreadsheets and
planning strategies, budgets and timesheets
using every module of MS Office.
-
Although this non-credit program will not
be graded and the student can leave and resume
the core curriculum at any time the course is
offered, it is recommended that the student
begin and end within the same six-week
continuum, since instructor emphasis will be on
practical applications as a team and as it all
relates to today's work environment.
