Quincy College Signs Transfer
Agreement with Cambridge College

As part of an ongoing effort to forge relationships
with area institutions, Quincy College signed a transfer
agreement earlier this month, which will allow Quincy College students
who
complete an Associate's degree to enroll in baccalaureate degree
programs at Cambridge College. The agreement was
signed by both Sue Harris, President of Quincy College and Mahesh
Sharma, President
of Cambridge College in a ceremony that took place
at Quincy College.
According to the details of the agreement, after completing the Cambridge College application process, Quincy College graduates will be able to transfer up to 90 credits from their Quincy College degree plus other general education requirements taken at Quincy College to baccalaureate degree programs at Cambridge College. The baccalaureate completion programs with this agreement include Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Human Services and a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies. According to President Harris, "This agreement provides for a seamless transfer process for our students. They are able to continue to pursue their educational goals at a four-year institution while using Quincy College facilities and coursework for as long as possible. Cambridge College is a perfect fit for us as our institutions share a very similar mission."
In addition to the baccalaureate degree programs, Quincy College will be exploring the possibility of establishing other undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs with Cambridge College. "The mission of the two institutions is to provide higher educational opportunities, and the two administrations are interested in providing meaningful programs for our students. Therefore, I feel our affiliation with Quincy College is value-added for both the students and the two institutions," said President Sharma.
