My name is Michaela Benatcanova and I am from the Czech Republic. I love traveling and I have been traveling a lot in my life. The English language is my favorite foreign language, so I decided to study it in Great Britain. I stayed there for more then a year. It was for me the opportunity to find a better job back in my country. In 2003 I started to work for an American development company in Prague, where I have met my friend who lived in Boston and studied at Quincy College. He told me about his experiences and how much he enjoyed living here. I always wanted to go to the USA. I made a decision to take this life chance and go back to school. I did not have anything to lose, I like changes, and my boss was supportive. I came to the United States in September 2005 and after a fall semester in a language school I transferred to Quincy College. My major is Business Administration and I enjoy every class I am taking. This is my third semester at Quincy and I appreciate the help I get from my professors. They are very patient with international students. I think that my life has changed in many ways because of this experience. I have found many new friends from the entire world here. My favorite place in Quincy College is the International office, because I always find help there if I need it, and it is a positive atmosphere. It is a pleasure for me to be a part of this community. After I graduate, I would like to work in New Zealand.
