 Four Easy Steps to Enroll

Allied Health Programs
(Enrollment in Allied Health Programs is contingent upon a satisfactory CORI and health immunization report.)

  STEP ONE
Allied Health Admissions Test

Prospective students enrolling in an Allied Health program must schedule and take an Allied Health Admissions Test. To schedule a test you must:

1) Pay a $25 testing fee in Enrollment Services (Newport Hall 120)

2) Schedule an Allied Health Admission Exam/Test by calling 617-984-1710. Please tell the person which Program you are testing, for example: Associate Degree Nursing Program. A student is allowed to take the admission test a maximum of three times in an academic year (Enrollment Period). This period begins in September and ends in August of next year. Tests must be taken at least 30 days apart. If a student fails in those attempts in an academic year to get the minimum score required for a program, he/she is encouraged to enroll in academic support course/courses as recommended by an advisor in QC. A student is allowed to re-take placement test three times next academic year. The scores do not roll over to next academic year.

For tips on how to better prepare for the Allied Health Admissions Exam please click here.

3) Take the test on the scheduled day. The Testing Center is located in Newport Hall 107. If you pass, you may process the rest of your application packet. If you do not pass, then after 30 days you may retake the test.

  STEP FOUR
Health Insurance Waiver

All students who are enrolled in 9 or more credits in a semester, or who plan to enroll in 9 or more credits in a semester (generally 3 courses), are required to have basic health insurance. By law, Quincy College automatically charges all students who are registered for 9 or more credits with this health insurance fee.

Health Insurance is required for all students who have clinical placements (nursing, surgical technology, etc) regardless of whether they are part-time or full-time.

If a student has comparable health insurance (most HMO and PPO plans qualify), then the student must click here to complete a waiver online for the College to remove these charges from the student's account.

Visit www.universityhealthplans.com for more information about the health insurance waiver. If you have any questions, please contact the Quincy College Business Office at (617) 984-1630.

If you have any questions, call Enrollment Services at 1-800-698-1700.
