Quincy College is committed to
providing students with personal development opportunities
outside the classroom that foster leadership skills, critical and
creative thinking, cultural appreciation, and community
involvement. Below we have highlighted several of
our most popular students organizations and activities.

Honor
Societies |
Gamma
Beta Phi
Gamma Beta Phi is a service organization for honor
students at two-year and four-year colleges and universities.
Eligibility is limited to students who have earned
12 or more credits toward a
degree with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Phi
Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa is an honor society that recognizes
and encourages the academic achievement of students at two-year colleges.
To be eligible for membership, a student must have completed a minimum
of 12 hours of coursework with an overall grade point average of 3.5
or higher, and maintain a 3.5 GPA throughout their enrollment at Quincy
College.

Society of Entrepreneurs (S.O.E)
The
Society of Entrepreneurs is a student run
organization, founded by QC student Levy
Monteiro. The mission for S.O.E is to
provide resources to students and develop
their entrepreneurial skills while creating
networking opportunities. By providing
support and guidance, active participants
execute business plans and or events,
while applying
knowledge from business courses to every
part of the process. Through the development
of business plans or events, students will
enhance their communication, management, and
leadership skills, which are all important
elements of entrepreneurship. Meetings are
held on Mondays at 2:30 PM in the Student
Lounge.

Writers
Group
The Writers Group is open to all Quincy College
students and faculty members who are interested in
sharing their work and developing their creative writing
abilities. This group meets on Mondays at 1:00 PM.

Drama
Club
The Drama Club provides opportunities for members to
develop an understanding of all aspects of theatre
including character development, improvisation, set
design, technology design, stage management and more.
Auditions are held at the start of each semester for
roles in a drama production performed at the end of
each term. Membership is open to all students and alumni.

indigo
is Quincy College’s annual arts and literary exhibit and
journal. Open only to students to give them the
opportunity to share their
artistic and creative abilities with the campus
community.
Submission deadline for the Spring 2008 is closed.
indigo will be held on April 24,
2008 beginning at 7:00 PM at the Newport
Hall atrium.
