Dean, Allied Health

Welcome to the School of Allied Health, where you will find an exciting and energetic community of faculty dedicated to education and educating the next generation of health professionals. Abundant educational opportunities exist at Quincy College. The School of Allied Health has become a valued resource to area residents and businesses and has provided generations of families with nursing education. It is our hope to continue to offer not only nursing education to more generations but also to continue our expansion into other allied health programs. We invite you to join us.

Currently, the School of Allied Health still offers a comprehensive nursing curriculum for an Associate of Science in Nursing and a Practical Nurse Certificate Program. In recent years, certificates in Surgical Technology*, Phlebotomy and Exercise Science / Personal Training were added. The School also works collaboratively with Business and Public Service as well as Liberal Arts and Sciences to offer a Health Care Administration Associate of Science and Certificate.

If you are looking for value in your education and your career goal is to become a registered nurse, practical nurse, surgical technologist, phlebotomist, personal trainer; or if you are interested in the administrative side of health care – our School of Allied Health should be your first choice. I am especially proud of the spirit and dedication of our faculty and thanks to their concerted efforts our graduates not only consistently score high on national licensure and certification exams but also typically pass those exams on their first try.

I am privileged to work with people who are dedicated to working together to help others achieve their dreams and a division that evolved from a commitment of providing excellence in nursing education. We now have the awesome task of applying that excellence to new programs in the School of Allied Health.

An education challenges the mind, stretches the imagination and opens doors. An education puts you in a position to take advantage of an opportunity – of being in the right place, at the right time with the right amount of experience and training. I encourage you to accept the challenge – it is worth all the time and effort you put into it.

I invite you to explore the School of Allied Health and our various programs. For more information on Allied Health Programs click here.

*The Surgical Technology Program is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in conjunction with the Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST). For additional information, please contact CAAHEP: 1361 Park Street, Clearwater, FL 33756, Phone: 727-210-2350, www.caahep.org. Program graduates are eligible to sit for the certification exam (CST) offered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA).
