General Physics I |
| The principles of mechanics emphasizing the
conservation of momentum and energy through a
study of uniform accelerated motion. Topics include
Newton's laws, work and energy, centripetal force,
and moments of inertia. This course must be taken in
conjunction with PHY 121. Prerequisites: MAT 102 or
higher math. 3 credits |
| PHY 112 |
General Physics II |
| Topics include elasticity, density and pressure,
wave
and vibratory motion, electrostatics, electricity,
magnetism, and a summary of the principles of heat
and light as wave phenomena. This course must be
taken in conjunction with PHY 122. Prerequisite:
PHY 111. 3 credits |
