QUINCY COLLEGE CHANGED MY LIFE
Born in California and raised in Texas, attending college in the Boston area was a big transition for me. It was important that the school I attended offered classes that could be easily transferred to other institutions, and provided individual attention to students. My sister, who had attended Quincy College previously, had recommended QC for its small class sizes, course offerings, and cultural diversity.
Shortly after enrolling in Spring 2003, I discovered what a positive effect the
intimate learning atmosphere had on my studies. The professors have all been
excellent, and are happy to spend one-on-one time with me when I have questions
about class material. Additionally, I have been exposed to students from all
over the world with interesting and unique cultures and ideas. Despite our differences,
however, I have found that all of the students shared the same goals of academic
success. Many of our interests are also the same – a student from Vietnam and
I
discuss
our love of cars on a daily basis. I don’t know
of many other institutions that would allow me such a well-rounded college experience.
Quincy College offered everything I needed- convenience, affordability, small
class sizes, and a diverse academic environment. Because of my opportunities
here, I have a solid foundation on which to build in the future. I plan to transfer
to a Boston area business school in the fall, earn my Bachelor’s degree, and
take on Wall Street with confidence.
