Mark Bertman
Vice
Chair, Separation Committee
Member, Finance and Facilities Committee
A businessman in Quincy since 1960, Governor Bertman
brings a great knowledge and perspective of commerce
and business development in Quincy over the last four
decades to the Board of Governors.
In addition to his daily duties as owner of Rogers
Jewelry, a downtown staple on the corner of Hancock and Granite
streets since 1944, Bertman
has served as a board member for many local organizations
including the original Quincy Center Business and Professional
Association, the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, and
the South Shore Big Brothers
and Big Sisters Program of Quincy.
Born in Boston and raised in Brookline, Bertman graduated from Boston
University’s College of Business Administration. He is a recipient
of the Jason Feldman Outstanding Citizen Award (1998) from the Quincy
Court, as well as a fundraiser for the Salvation Army.
