Non-Credit Certificate

Quincy College’s Computer Skills for the Workplace Non-Credit Certificate program teaches the basic computer skills needed to successfully obtain employment. Students will learn the basics of computer hardware, computer software, and learn to use Microsoft Office application programs.

Program tuition cost: $325*

*This does not include registration and other fees.

Topics include:

Getting Comfortable with Your Computer

  • General parts of the computer
  • Input, processing, output, and storage (including portable and cloud storage) devices
  • Learning to navigate and use the Microsoft Windows operating system
  • Understanding computers- hardware, system software, and application software

Learning to use Microsoft Office Application Programs

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Outlook

How to prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification Exams

  • Preparation materials for certification (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
  • Practice exams (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)

  • Go to the QCPortal and login
  • Click “Course Search” at the top of the page
  • Select “Non-Credit” from the “Term” drop down menu
  • Click the “Search” button at the bottom of the page

Courses/programs listed with “NC” are non-credit courses/programs.
